A wild edible for the more adventurous , Alexander is an extremely potent flavoured plant closely related to celery it has definite tones of raw carrot and celery. This part of the plant is the immature closed flower buds
supplied in a 200g pack
there are two very popular ways to prepare and eat these buds the first is a very simple steamed with a squeeze of lemon juice or then sautéed in butter
secondly is a simple tempura batter these are very nice paired with our Haw berry sauce

These are great – if you know what to do with them, they grow wild where my daughter lives and I am fortunate enough to be able to (normally) go picking this time of year; however due to the lockdown I am unable to travel – so its heart warming to be able to still use them even when I am so far away! lovely to be “slightly” normal
