Description
Sea kale shoots grow from the roots, much like asparagus.
In fact, the tender shoots are eaten much like asparagus, and they can also be eaten raw.
The large leaves are prepared and used like spinach or regular garden kale, although older leaves are often bitter and tough.
The attractive, fragrant blooms are also edible.
