Strawberry Alpine (9cm pot)

£3.49

Our chosen herb grower are superior in growing over 200 types of varieties. All grown locally and are all individually hand selected by them for your order so that great care is taken to send out the best quality plants.

Commonly found in the woodlands of northern Europe, this delightful plant has a show of white flowers in late spring, followed by a crop of petite, bright red berries. Though less tasty than named strawberry varieties, they have a pleasant sweetness and make a superb decorative garnish for cakes and desserts.  This is an excellent ground cover variety, and look particularly effective on a pathway, or at the edge of a traditional cottage garden bed.

Wild Strawberries were highly regarded by traditional herbalists, who valued their calming properties and often used them in the treatment of digestive disorders.
