The Marlow Cheese Company

Based in the pretty town of Marlow, Buckinghamshire, this small family-run firm punches well above its weight. Producing a generous range of cheeses by hand to exceptionally high standards, it’s become a multiple award winner in just a few short years.

At the helm is Lynda Hill. She’d long dreamed of becoming a cheesemonger but settled into a string of retail and office jobs – it wasn’t until a health scare in 2015 that she decided to shift life into an entirely different gear and finally pursue her passion for all things cheese.

After attending an introductory cheese course at Nottinghamshire’s Artisan School of Food, she set to work on laying the foundations for The Marlow Cheese Company. At first working from home, she began sourcing milk from her local dairy and invested in a bespoke cheese vat to get the ball rolling.

Lynda then successfully sold her growing range of cheese locally, relocating to a purpose-built facility in 2019. All of the milk used in her cheeses is still sourced locally, something she is particularly proud of.

The company’s range now includes soft, semi-hard and hard cheeses, all of which are produced with love and care by Lynda herself.
